How To Boating Instructor Network

Must be in South Florida and willing to travel to client locations in South Florida; have a 100GRT Captains License or greater; have 5 years Captain experience on vessels over 80ft; have a strong ability to both learn and teach; must be comfortable both in front of and behind the camera; must take initiative and have the heart of a teacher.

Our goal here is to change lives and create safe and confident boaters. If that is not your priority, your goal does not align with How To Boating.

The How To Boating Instructor Network is a network of experienced, licensed captains who specialize in teaching new boaters using How To Boating’s structured curriculum. We handle the marketing, lead generation, scheduling, and program framework—captains focus on training boaters safely and professionally.

We’re looking for professional captains with real on-water experience who are confident, safety-focused, and have the heart of a teacher. REQUIREMENTS: A valid USCG Captain’s License, Captain experience on 80ft+ vessels, strong communication and leadership skills, and someone who takes initiative.

Certified captains receive access to a proven training curriculum, ongoing support from the How To Boating team, and training opportunities from incoming leads in their area. The program is designed to offer flexible scheduling and additional income without requiring captains to manage marketing or curriculum development.

Captains apply through our online form, where we review experience, credentials, and availability. Qualified applicants will go through an interview process with Captain Harley, and will go through a strenuous onboarding process before beginning to work as a How To Boating instructor.
